3 - HISTORY AND NICE TO KNOW
A trip through beautiful woods. You will encounter fantastic views over the valley of the Rance and Gos on this journey. You sometimes need some extra breath to concur the differences in height. When the temperature is high you better go early in the morning or late in the afternoon. But the reward is big at the time you reach Rouquette! A fantastic scenery in the north west unfolds in front of your eyes, the valley of the Rance and the village of Pleasance with its church. In the south west the plateau of Alban. In the south east the valley of the Rance with St Sernin of which you can spot a couple of houses. The Rance, the peaceful looking river that babbles down from the mountains of Lacaune and ends in the river Tarn close to St Pierre, close to Trébas. The rising of the water can sometimes by devastating!
The mountain top the rises above Rouquette is called "Suc d’ Armont" and is the highest point of the community Plaisance with a height of 646 meters.

If you watch carefully after Massebirot you can see old cart ruts eroded in the rocks. Traces from an era where these ruts were the only means of communication between our villages en hamlets.
