point: At the square on the right side of the
church. There you can park your car. If there is no
room, ask advice at one of the villagers. He will
direct you to another spot.

DESCRIPTION
- From the parking
lot take the D184 direction Montclar for about 20 30
meters, then take the road on the right side direction
"Mas". Arriving at "Mazet", take the community road
leading to "Sajac" and take after 300 meters at the U
turn a road leading to "La Graldié". At "La
Graldié" follow the road up to the water
reservoir "Puech". Continue until the road to "La
Contié" and turn left.
- After a couple of
hundred meters you arrive at a junction to "La Roque"
keep right on the road where you see a crucifix
alongside the road. After 500 meters at a junction you
take the road to the left and down where you start
descending in the valley of the Tarn. In the woods
carefully close the gate behind you. Follow the path
up to the stream, cross it, after a couple of meters
to the right and up and ascend a path leading down to
"Palaret". Above the hamlet leave the path and follow
a smaller path at the right and up until you reach the
D184 leading up to Montclar and down to St Igest).
- Cross the road and
take the path that in the hamlet takes you down. After
a couple of hundred meters leave the path and take the
path leading down through the woods and ends at the
D902 leading alongside the river Tarn opposite of
Brousse-le-Château. Cross the road and take the
path on your left leading between the Tarn and the
road. Follow it for about a kilometer until it joins
the original road again. Follow the road left a few
meters then take a path right leading back to St
Igest.

AND NICE TO KNOW
- During the whole
trip you will have a marvelous view over the valley of
the Tarn and over the medieval village
Brousse-le-Château. At the highest point of this
journey you can take a D tour to the water tower of
Puech for a marvelous panorama.
